The rain cometh

I arrived in Lytham St Annes early this morning on a shopping trip to find the shop I intended to patronise did not open till 10.00 oclock, I had an hour to fill. No problem, the sea front at Lytham is one of my favorite locations. The light was wicked i took a load of shots including a few seascapes, not my normal subject.

The post processing included levels, curves, highlights and shadows, adjustments converted to B&W with channel mixer Red +60, Green +40, Blue 0, toned using levels on the blue channel, little bit of burn along the top and a bit of dodge around the boat. Bobs your uncle, but was it worth the effort. There was an image to be had but I am just not sure that I have made the best of it!

I'm glad the shop was shut, the sky detail you've captured is truely fantastic. I thought at first you had been a bit heavy handed with the toning but its really growing on me. I like it. Mal
Very nice, love the tones you chose for this shot.

Might have been better in colour. That is some strong sky detail you got there
