This will be a familiar view to viewers of the Fylde Coast huggers photoblogs, Fleetwood beach looking back towards Rossal point.

I have been experimenting with various B&W conversion methods and this is one I have not used before, High Pass Filter method! The image was then toned slightly using a gradient map.

I have to say the new template is working well so far and is obviously great for panos.

Is this a scan? It's incredible! I am sure you will use this new template to the max with all the panos you have waiting...
Digiphotology: This is not a scan, it is a cropped digital image. I must say the new template is a big improvement, much more like the Pixelpost template.
Stunning! (:o)
Digiphotology: Hi Roz, so are you :o
Looks good, got to agree with you about the template it is just made for images such as this.
Digiphotology: Hi Les, Thanks muchley for looking in. I hope I don't get hooked on panos.
Have you cloned out all the Holidaymakers.....ah the ol high pass, just doing a maxy tute on that using the threshold with it.I like this new template thing but not when it switches to white.
Digiphotology: This bit is not very popular with the tourists, if you look closely you will see a few on the walkway above the beach. You have had the mysterious whit switch as well. It did it to me just as I posted a reply to a comment. Odd!
What is a high pass filter method?

I've had that switching to white business - thought it was something I'd done but didn't know what.

The sea dips down towards the shore - or do I need to get some sleep?

Tried a walk out this way at the beginning of the hols but it was like winter!
Digiphotology: If I tell you I will have to kill you!

Sleep would probably help but I think it is a touch of spherical aberration which I hoped would go unnoticed cuz I was too lazy to remove it. It can be a bit draughty around here even on the best of days.
